Chihayafuru 2 Ep. 12 - The only sign of summer.

I just love the subtlety of this story and the beautiful images. Chihaya was all boosted to go and attack. Red fire. And then Kana just touched her shoulder and said the lines of this poem. The contact with her hand made some blue particles, just like water. Instead of letting Chihaya go all berserk, she was able to give her a breath of air, the awareness of the silence, the serenity she needed to give the best of her.

This is brilliant. It was “just” a detail but if you are also someone with a personality closer to fire than water, you will understand the feeling conveyed by this moment. When you know people who are really serene and calm, these friends who are able to cool your mind when you need it… It really is a great thing.

It’s amazing to see how much the characters of this story helps each other to improve. On another note, that episode seemed so short ! Can’t wait for the next, and let’s hope for a season 3 too ;_;
